I was originally going to share a new hair product I’ve been
using, but after reading this post last night on
Career Girl Daily, I really really really wanted to share this
instead. Okay, so as you know one of my big goals for 2017 is to grow my hair
out (if you didn’t know, don’t worry. You can check out my hair and beauty
goals
here); so naturally when I saw the title “5 Tricks That Made My Hair Grow
Faster” I clicked pretty fast. That being said, I only clicked so fast because
unlike other similarly titled posts from various sources, I genuinely trust
CGD and have found their other posts
extremely useful in my life. Anyway, enough about that and on to how we too can
grow our hair out fast.
Rinse hair with cold water
- Um, I’m not too sure about this one, especially in
the winter. I don’t rinse my hair with cold water, but after discovering the
dangers of rinsing with hot water, I have definitely turned my water temperature
down A LOT whenever I wash my hair.
Don’t use shampoo every time you shower
-
I already do this as I’m not a big fan of
shampoo. I find that some shampoo really dry my hair out and make it feel
almost straw-like, so this one is kind of easy for me.
Give your hair the nourishment it needs
-
By now you guys know I love a hair mask and a
deep condition. I am a firm believer in giving your hair nourishment and
treatments, and know that doing it helped my damaged ends tremendously.
Massage your scalp
-
I love massaging my scalp. Not only is it
incredibly relaxing, but it helps increase blood flow which in turn helps your
hair grow – it’s a win-win.
Switch up your pillow case
-
This is something I’ve been meaning to do since
the beginning of time. Switching your pillowcase from a cotton one to a silk or
satin one is good for you hair because it means your hair doesn’t catch on the
loose fibres. While I may not have a silk pillowcase yet, I do wrap my hair in
a silky textured scarf which helps keep my hair in place and prevents breakage.
And there you have it, five relatively easy things to do to
help grow your hair our faster. For the original post, just see
here.
