Having been using my
Vitale Olive Oil Hair Mayonnaise
non-stop for several months, I knew I needed to switch things up for the sake
of my hair, as well as to see what other deep condition treatments were out
there. (It was also getting a little boring gushing over how much I
loved my VOOHM.) Having also been familiar with Dark and Lovely from back in my relaxer
days, when I saw their Amla Legend Replenishing Hair Mask I thought it would be
worth a try.

The first thing I noticed about the hair mask was the creamy
coco-buttery smell it had and how even hours after using it, there would still
be a linger smell. Now, if like me you LOVE the smell of coco butter, then that’s
definitely a plus. I loved how soft and nourished the hair mask would leave my
hair, especially recently when I would find the outside cold had made my hair
quite dry. I also found that this hair mask worked better when I did
the Reverse Method than when I would wash my hair the long way, which I found particularly interesting
– almost as if my hair was able to absorb more of the benefits when I applied
to dry hair as opposed to applying it to wet hair.
As I did really like this hair mask, I plan on buying other
products in the Amla Legend range to see how they compare and to see if using
the whole range will make any differences to my hair.
