After falling head-over-heels in love with the ORS Monoi Oil
Leave In Conditioner and seeing how great my hair reacted to it, I knew it was
only a matter of time until I tried the other products in the range.
The bottle advised applying to damp hair but as I’m really
against putting product in my hair when it’s wet I was a little sceptical. That
said, I did apply it to my hair when it was damp and I can see why they gave
that instruction. One thing I noticed (and probably the only negative thing
about the buttermilk) is that it’s really thick and sticky. On dry hair I would
imagine it being quite hard to handle, but on wet hair it has more slip, allowing
for it to glide a bit more. On a positive note the smell is UH-MAZ-ZING! Though
I just said this is its negative point, I also see it as a positive. Because the
formula is too thick and sticky it means that it doesn’t dry out my hair like
other products do when I apply them to my wet hair. It also means that when I later
apply other products to my hair, especially the leave in conditioner, my hair is
more readily available to soak it up.
And one last thing: the curl perfection. Usually when labels
say this, I never notice anything different about my hair, but this time, I’ve noticed
that my little kinky curls are so defined, springy and cute!
