Who remembers being in primary school and playing with PVA
glue, pasting it over your hands, waiting for it to dry before peeling it all
off? Why am I asking for such a fond memory? Read on and you’ll find out.
So far with these samples I’ve noticed just how much Fresh has
opened my eyes to the world of skincare. Obviously I’d been doing some stuff in
the past and yes I’d read countless articles and advice from the best in the
biz, but to actually EXPERIENCE products has been a whole other thing, and in
part I see it’s because of these samples I’ve been using later. I hadn’t used
eye cream before (I honestly never saw the point and kind of still don’t) so I was
very intrigued about this Lotus Youth Preserve cream that illuminates and
hydrates the eye area – even though at 25 I don’t think I’m the audience in
mind for this product, but anyway.
First of all this sample had so much product in it I worried
how I was going to use it all in one go. The answer I found was that I wouldn’t.
Instead I kept the remaining product to use over a period of time (which I actually
forgot about oops, but I did manage to use it more than once which helped this
review).
Okay so as I’d never used eye cream before, though I hate to
admit it, I was at a total loss for how/where to apply it. I had vague memories
of watching Jessica Jung apply her eye cream so I copied what I remembered as
well as improvising and applying to my lids which was probably wrong but oh
well. The moment the cream touched my face I noticed how cooling it was. I should
also add that at the time the corners of my eyes were burning (I’m not sure
why) but this cream was really soothing.

oooh so soothing... |

i remember jessica saying something like pretending to play the piano on your face helps the eye cream absorb |
Now here is where memories of PVA glue come in because I had
obviously applied too much product to my face as I noticed the cream peeling in
the same satisfying way that I would peel off the PVA from my hands like a
second skin.

so peely and flaky... but i'm pretty sure it's because i put too much on |
Would I buy the full size? I’m leaning more towards yes even
though I’m sure I have no real need for it at the moment. That said, it is
always best to start young isn’t it? also, I did notice that ever since the
first time I applied this cream to my eye area, I haven’t had any burning
sensation there, and I’ve also noticed that my under eyes are starting to look
a little brighter.
