Okay, I promise this will be the last post revolving around
travel and hair (although that said I am going to Rome next weekend and may be
tempted to write a little something about it, but I guess we’ll cross that
bridge when we get to it). So anyway, over the last two weeks I’ve shared a few
bits regarding travelling with natural hair, but today I wanted to share some
great tips I read about early this week on
CurlyNikki
by Mary Wolff, about the four must-haves every girl needs for her next
vacation. Now obviously not everything on the list will apply (hey perhaps
nothing will), but these are still great things to have at home regardless of
whether you find yourself in a different country or locale. Ready? Here goes…

this pack was only £5 from boots! :O |
MICROFIBRE TOWEL
I told you not every item on this list would be relevant and
I definitely have to say that this is the one thing that doesn’t really apply
to me. However, for those of you who this does apply to, microfiber towels are
great because they are highly absorbent, the reduce frizz and breakage, and are
just better for your hair. Instead of worrying about how to dry your hair while
you’re away, simply pack this in your bag and you’re good to go. Or if you’re
like me, simply pack your trusty!

not got a microfibre towel? no problem, your old white tee will do the trick |
HAIR WRAP
A definitely must-have that every girl should have in her arsenal.
Not only can you wrap your hair up at night, keeping your locks styled for the
next day, but a hair wrap can easily double as a chic accessory. Case in point,
in Norway I used my hair wrap to sleep in at night, but then during the day I rolled
it up as a headband, and saved me from having a crazy hair day.
COCONUT OIL
For me, I’d probably replace coconut oil with my Paltas
B.K.C leave in conditioner spray because I love what it does for my hair. I was
pleasantly surprised about how well it kept my hair moisturised and unaffected
by the cold Norway air.

not exactly coconut oil, but I'd definitely recommend,,, |
SATIN PILLOWCASE
This one I feel is just an all-round fabulous essential that
I still need to get. Wolff suggests slipping this in your suitcase – it’ll literally
take up no space at all – and then that way you don’t have to worry about the
hotel or destination’s pillows ruining your hair.
Like I said, this list is not just for your next holiday, it’s
for life.
