I’ve talked a little bit about jojoba oil here and there on
the blog, but after looking back at some of my favourite products (and what they’re
common denominator was), I thought it was high time that jojoba oil got its
very own post!
First off, did you know that jojoba oil is the only oil that
resembles human sebum? – if you’ve read the blog, you’ll probably know that
one. So what does this mean exactly? Well it means that your hair is more likely
to grow and be healthy as sebum is a naturally occurring substance on the body,
thus making it easier for the oil to penetrate and get to work. For this reason
(alongside many others) this makes jojoba oil the perfect oil if you’re looking
to try something wholly natural to aid your hair growth.
Another great thing about jojoba oil is that helps combat inflammation,
it moisturises the skin, kills bacteria and helps heal (so if you’ve got a
sensitive scalp or broken skin, this could be just the thing to help you out).
Oh and did I mention is smells AMAZING?
Jojoba is definitely an ingredient I want to start actively
including in my hair routine, so you can be sure to see lots of jojoba oil
related post in the future.
