When I first started reading about this hair treatment
ingredient, I thought it seemed so wasteful, using just a delicious and tasty
piece of fruit on hair. I couldn’t imagine doing that myself, but as I read
more, I came to see that it wouldn’t be the worst thing to feed my hair and not
my stomach. The ingredient in question? Mango.
Jam-packed with vitamins C, A, B6 and K, calcium and
protein, mangoes are great for hair because they help prevent hair loss, fights
dandruff, conditions and moisturises hair AND even helps combat grey hairs. Not
only are mangoes good for your hair, but they’re also great for skin and your
health; helping heart disease and diabetes.
I don’t think I’d buy a mango with the sole purpose of
putting it my hair, but I’d definitely try this if a mango was going off and I couldn’t
eat it. I’m also going to start keeping my eye out for mango infused hair
products so that I can still get some of that mangoey goodness.
