Having loved every other Blue Magic leave in conditioner, I was
excited about trying their carrot oil conditioner. I thought that like their
tea tree oil and argan oil, this carrot oil would become a fast favourite, but
now looking back I see I jumped the gun a little.
The first thing I noticed about the conditioner (and every
time I open it to use) is that it smells like the orange flavoured starbursts,
and I found that it tends to leave that lingering smell on my hair. The other
thing I noticed about this conditioner was that it felt quite heavy and thick
(like hardened jelly) and was quite stiff in my hair. I also found that it
tended to dry my hair out after the first day, and wasn’t as moisturising as
its tea tree and argan predecessors, which was disappointing.
A few weeks ago when I was washing my hair, I saw loads of
orange stuff in the shower, which I assumed to be this conditioner as it was
the only product I’d been using which was an orange colour.
While I probably won’t buy this carrot oil conditioner
again, there are a few other products in this collection (like their lime and
mango) that I’m excited to try, so watch this space.
