Fresh Umbrian Clay Purifying Mask.

You’ve seen peeks of this in my travel posts last week, but today I’m sharing full details, first impressions and current thoughts on this little wonder product (not like I’m giving anything away by nicknaming it that lol). Enter: Fresh Umbrian Clay Purifying Mask.

So, firstly I’ll start at the beginning. I’ve been wanting to try this since forever but for one reason or another, never got the chance to add it to my basket, until my last Fresh purchase. As such you can imagine how high my expectations were. As dumb as it sounds, I thought it would clear up everything wrong with my face in an instant overnight, but boy oh boy was I wrong and woefully misguided.
I first used it as a face mask, incorporating it after my double cleanse and before moisturising. I let it dry and harden on my face before rinsing it off. I liked that my skin did immediately look clear and feel soft and smooth afterwards. But as I was battling spots at the time, I was disappointed that the spots remained on my face the next morning.
I next used it as a cleanser. This is my least favourite way to use it. There’s something about the consistency of it that I really don’t like, and it doesn’t feel as though it’s doing anything major to my skin.
I then used it as a spot treatment. This was another occasion when I was expecting fast overnight results, but sadly those did not come. Not one to give up on it though, I persisted and wow. While my spot didn’t clear up overnight, it did clear up in record time, and I knew that when I went away it had to come with me.
Now I must say that after all that, I am in love with this mask. It may work a little differently to how I thought it would, but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming a fast favourite – especially on my holiday, as you may have seen.

Will I buy it again? Only time will tell, but anyway, that’s really an answer for another time.
